Durex Glam_droid at Bondi Beach Mardi Gras Party

In a glittering celebration of diversity and intimacy, Durex stood out as the Official intimate Wellness Partner of Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras 2024. So it’s fair to say that the team at Polite Playground were lucky enough to collaborate with the iconic brand to celebrate love, inclusion and pride with the LGBTQIA+ community at Bondi Beach.

Freshly launched in late 2023, the Glam_droid thrilled the team at Durex as it made it’s Sydney debut at the Mardi Gras Beach Party. And if you’re sitting here wondering, “What is Glam_droid?”, this is THE latest robotic camera arm made for the Australian events industry. 

Glam_droid takes the thrill of high-speed robotics and super slow-motion video, drawing inspiration from the renowned Cole Walliser [link to glambot?], putting itself within reach of agencies, brands and private events alike.

Alongside Durex, the team at Polite Playground were able to dive into a unique programmed sequence, creating continuous, show-stopping pieces of content spanning over ten hours at Bondi Beach. 

Our custom Glam_droid software seamlessly incorporated instant branding, video production and special effects, backed by instant digital delivery via SMS or email, ensuring easily share-able content on platforms like TikTok and Instagram.

Glam_droid is video production at the speed of socials, and considering the following, this is no ordinary Photo Booth. 

At Bondi Beach our team was able to record a total of 164 videos, resulting in over 94k impressions!

Our biggest thanks to the Durex team for embracing us and allowing us to shine with the LGBTQIA+ community, crafting some unforgettable moments. We can’t wait to be a part of it all over again.
