Quest Hotels wanted the viral magic of an “upside down” activation—without the hefty build costs, logistics, and long lead times. With Melbourne International Student Week fast approaching, they needed a smart solution that felt big, fun, and social-media-worthy but could still be delivered on budget and on time. Our challenge? Capture attention, spark conversation, and create content guests couldn’t wait to post.
We reimagined the upside-down experience with digital creativity. Instead of constructing a flipped room, we built a greenscreen-powered activation that put guests in the heart of a Quest Hotel suite—bed and all—without moving a single piece of furniture.
A real queen bed anchored the experience, while our custom digital backdrops flipped the scene around it. The result? Guests lounged on the bed, snapped photos that looked totally surreal, and instantly received their images via QR code for easy sharing.
The activation delivered more than just photos—it drove buzz, engagement, and brand love. The built-in competition gave Quest a stream of new leads, while pets and playful poses amped up shareability. By combining clever tech with a strong creative hook, we gave Quest the upside-down magic they wanted—faster, smarter, and perfectly on brand.
