Rainbows, and glitter and sparkles, oh my! 

Mardi Gras 2020 is just around the corner, and this year’s festival is shaping up to be one of the biggest and boldest yet, with the recent announcement of its theme, WHAT MATTERS! 

Mardi Gras season is always one of our favourite festivities in the calendar year, with Fair Day kicking off on Sunday 16th February 2020, and the long-awaited Parade happening on Saturday 29th February 2020. 

According to official Mardi Gras announcements, there’ll be a HUGE number of events again this year, so we’ve put our rainbow hats on to brainstorm some of our favourite Mardi Gras-worthy experiential activation ideas for your Mardi Gras event. 

Remember, we’re just a phone call or email away from chatting through how you could utilise one of these exciting ideas for your activation. 

1. ‘Sittin’ Pretty’ Kissing Booth

A cheeky twist on the much-loved “Kissing Booth” concept for your furry friends at Fair Day! We all know Fair Day is an absolute haven for animal-lovers, with the day being totally pet-friendly (which we love!). 

But we’re sick of seeing those awkward lifts and anxious fluffy faces at regular old photo booths, so why not activate a Pet Friendly Kissing Booth for humans and their four-legged pals? (P.S this works with humans too!)

You could even collect donations for a charity or NFP - Who wouldn’t kiss for a cause?!

How do we do it?

We bring everything! A branded kissing booth set for your guests to pose with, a little ramp or platform for furry friends to sit on, and our super high-quality ProPix DSLR Photo Booth to capture all those loving moments (just in time!).

2. ‘Dress to Confess’ Video Confessional 

Forgive us traditional photo booths, for we have sinned! Take things to the next level at your activation, by putting on a ‘Confession Booth’ where your guests share something their heart desires, branded and sent instantly to devices for social sharing. Here's a video booth we worked on with Geometry for Sportsbet:

How do we do it?

We’ll look after everything! You’ll get our video booth, audio equipment, and some glitter-loving staff to manage everything on the day. We’ll also bring an iPad sharing station so guests can have a branded copy of their video straight to their phones. 

3. ‘Makeover Takeover’ Digital Makeup Booth

We’ve seen this work a million times to take something from drab to fab. Use our custom “digital lenses” to transform your face into a glittering goddess! Our face-detection technology is a super-simple add-on to any of our photo booth packages, as an extra element of interactivity and fun.  

Emulate your favourite Drag superstar, pop on a digital rainbow headpiece - the sky's the limit, and the best part is, you can have a few for guests to choose from. Fun!

How do we do it?

Let us look after it all! We set up our Social Photo & GIF Booth at your event, and all of your custom-designed digital lenses appear instantly for guests to choose from. Add onsite printing to provide a branded take-home too! 

4. ‘Swingin’ Swingers’ Video Booth

We LOVE a swing photo booth, but we want to see you take it up a notch with video! Our Video Booth can capture your guests getting into the swing of things, in real time, slow-mo or both! Check out this fun activation we worked on with ID Collective for Innisfree’s Cherry Blossom Launch:

How do we do it?

We can provide all the goods! We can look after the build, the swing, and the video booth, so all you have to worry about is how much fun you’re going to have. Make sure you use all the features the Video Booth offers, like branded overlays, background music and data capture!

5. ‘Stick It To The Man’ Custom Sticker Printing Booth

It wouldn’t be a celebration without a little bottle-poppin’ action! We’ll take photos of your guests and instantly print them out onto a custom-branded wine label, that they can stick right on your product! 

Works fabulously for wine, but could also work for water, kombucha, or whatever other beverage the kids are drinking these days. Say, wine not?! Here's a booth we worked on with MAAKE for 19 Crimes wine:

How do we do it? 

You guessed it - We can do it all! Using our ProPix DSLR Photo Booth and Onsite Printer, we can capture and print directly to stickers onsite. We can also look after the design and branding in-house, so all you have to decide is where to stick them!
